QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Cooperativa Ceramica d’Imola has adopted a Certified Quality Management System based on the UNI EN ISO 9001 standard

Through the realization and implementation of its quality management system, Cooperativa Ceramica d’Imola sets out to:

  • Understand and satisfy the needs and expectations of our clients and improve the surfaces and products we manufacture in compliance with legal provisions as well as our internal specifications;
  • Provide a timely and ample presales and after-sales assistance, including technical support for the appropriate placement and use of our products;
  • Appreciate the skills and creativity of our human resources and allow them to actively participate in the attainment of certain pre-established goals, after providing them with the training needed to achieve those goals;
  • Constantly improve production processes through appropriate management of technical and plant resources;
  • Ensure the proper use, efficiency, and reliability of the results of measurements and tests by planning the maintenance and control of the plants, machinery and equipment;
  • Create relationships characterized by reciprocal benefits and the active involvement of suppliers in achieving company results;
  • Continuously improve the processes of the Corporate Management System (defining strategic decisions based on objective data obtained by monitoring the process and using system indicators to effectively prevent problems from arising);
  • Contribute to upgrading our social setting, respect the community and environment in which we are integrated.

For this purpose the Cooperativa Ceramica d’Imola has included all the company processes in its Quality Management System. We have identified and planned them systematically by means of specific documents such as:

- General Procedures
- Work instructions and controls
- Specifications
- Work and audit plans
- Registration documents

THE ENVIRONMENT
Cooperativa Ceramica d’Imola is aware that the environment is a shared asset that must be protected, the same as employee health, and it has integrated all the factors relative to quality, safety and the environment in its management system by coordinating the activities and efforts of its employees and stimulating collaboration among the various departments.

Cooperativa Ceramica d’Imola has always asserted the will to make its factories and plants, and the work activities performed in them, as integrated as possible with the surrounding land and makes sure that the environmental impact caused by its work creates as little inconvenience as possible to the neighboring population.
Therefore the company wishes to continue its efforts in this direction so that future environmental protection initiatives, like the initiatives it has carried out heretofore, not only satisfy institutional regulations but include management, research, training and education activities.
Consequently, and naturally in compliance with the laws in force, it is paramount for Cooperativa Ceramica d’Imola to manufacture a product that is as eco-compatible as possible while maintaining a high level of quality. Moreover, the Cooperative also undertakes to continuously improve its performance in the area of environmental protection and engages all the technical and economic forces required to do so.

COOPERATIVA CERAMICA D'IMOLA AND THE ENVIRONMENT

Nature and technology combine to give birth to a new concept in ceramic tiles which places the relationship between man and the environment at the centre; an inseparable combination for the conscious achievement of eco-efficient corporate principles as well as those of environmental eco-compatibility.

ENVIRONMENTAL CERTIFICATION: ISO 14001

The environmental management system of Cooperativa Ceramica d'Imola (currently being certified - in reference to the UNI EN ISO 14001 Normative) was imposed on the basis of the following principles:

Protection of the environment and natural resources:
Cooperativa Ceramica d'Imola strongly believes in the value of the environment and feels that its industrial production objectives should be pursued and fulfilled using strategies and facilities that allow the optimal and efficient use of the resources and in complete respect of the environment.

It is for this reason that Cooperativa Ceramica d'Imola focus on minimizing the environmental impact of its production of ceramic tiles and optimizes the use of natural resources thanks to the recycling processes which recover the waste from the various raw and cooked processing as well as optimizing the water supply resources and the reutilization of recyclable material for packaging.

Efficient and effective energy politics:
Through the introduction of optimized plant solutions, Cooperativa Ceramica d'Imola is devoted to constantly reducing the energy consumption of the production processes.
The majority of the electrical energy utilized is produced in-house through the use of the most modern cogeneration systems.

Respect for the ecosystem:
Cooperativa Ceramica d'Imola is dedicated to minimizing the environmental impact of its industrial production in order to protect the entire ecosystem.

Therefore, Cooperativa Ceramica d'Imola completely recovers all of the water used in the working processes thus reducing the discharge to zero; it performs continual monitoring of the significant emissions in order to achieve a high level of reduction of the pollutants that are critical to the environment, it conducts complete differential waste collection of the paper, plastic material, wood, steel and copper.
